Richmond Home Improvement visited Christchurch recently to carry out some work on the front porch of a lovely bungalow property. The client was keen to improve the overall appearance of the front porch as well as increase the levels of insulation it provides to the rest of their home. It goes without saying the Richmond Home Improvement team was more than happy to make that happen.
We had a consultation with the client and agreed on a complete overhaul of the porch which would involve us replacing the door, windows, fascia, guttering and downpipe, delivering a fresh feel to the property.
The project wasn’t without its challenges. As the porch had originally been installed some years ago it had certainly seen better days and was showing considerable signs of its age. As a result of having to endure many years of standard British weather conditions, rot had begun to set in to some sections of the windows and door so replacement had become necessary. The solution we provided was the installation of white UPVC, giving a nice clean and bright appearance.
The tiled roof had to be safely propped during the installation of the new windows and door to ensure the structure didn’t collapse under its weight. Of course, we were more than equipped to deal with this situation and implemented a successful solution so that the installation process could be completed without issue.
As with the rest of the porch, the fascias, guttering and downpipe were also past their best and in need of replacement. Fortunately, at Richmond Home Improvement we are expert roofline installers and delivering an attractive and functional solution was a straightforward process.
The finished result of the entire porch looks fantastic and we are thrilled to say that the client agrees!
